Indian Chaos

INDIAN CHAOS

The worlds fastest growing population, fastest growing economy, the richest and the poorest, garbage, diseases, beauty, sceneries you don't meet anywhere else in the world.

Kindness, ignorance, outcasts, animals, religion, no wonder India can take you with storm, chew you up and send you back to the 1. world with wonder, shame and a longing for more.

I have been travelling 5 times to India, a total of almost 3 months. My first trip was a family vacation to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, wrapped in touristindustri, but I succeded in getting the driver to let us go out in Old Delhi, visiting the old mosque. Later we went to Goa, just beaching, but India had gotten my interest.

The next 3 years I travelled 4 times to Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi, Agra and Colkata. When I travel as a photographer I tend to go away from tourist attractions and seek the poorer areas, with a more, for the country, normal daily life.

To me India is one of the most resistent places for the global culture, build by the global capitalism. India is a big producer in that machine, but it takes a long time for this culture to change India.

In 2013 I had my last trip to Delhi, after leading a workshop of 15 photographers in the big city, but also had the pleasure of some diseases that hit me for 3 months and caused me to loose 13 kilos.
