THE COLOURFUL MR EGGLESTON
This is a very interesting and nicely produced documentary about one of the worlds most peculiar photographers.
Challenged by the changing american urban landscape in the 1960-70s William Eggleston almost gave up doing photography, until he suddenly saw the beauty in the banale, and became the first photographer with a full color solo exhibition at MoMa in 1976.
Check him out, lots of books and lots of southern arrogance..
And a Leica ...
