At the DHAKA shipyard, 400 men are working in restoring old, wornout freight coasters.
Everything from rusty bodies, old engines and full pantries are being brought into the state of new. New parts are being manufactured from ground up and with simple tools.
Working conditions are not up to normal first world standards.
I kind of coincidently walked into this colorful, noisy and poluted world. I at first imagened being kicked out again, with my 2 fuji cameras and clearly european look. But instead i was treated as a guest and offered more coffee than my stomach could take.
The people working here is having great pride in their work and in a total chaotic world a strange kind of organization was present.
I was back a second day for more pictures and only recieved the same kind of hospitality.
